Life Insurance - Ways To Save

I guess you would like to buy life insurance that provides satisfactory protection at the lowest cost possible. You just need to understand what to do and when to do it. Implement these suggestions if you're truly serious about realizing savings.

1) If you cliff hang or take part in motor racing, you'll pay far much more than someone who doesn't. Changing to safe sports will save you hundreds if not thousands on life insurance.

2) If you plan to be given lower premiums and also reduce the odds that you will be rejected as uninsurable, buy your life insurance at a younger age. The higher the chances that someone will die quickly, the more expensive it is to insure such an individual. A 60-year-old is more likely to die earlier than a 40-year-old.

3) If you're exposed to danger in your line of duty you shouldn't look forward to pay similar quotes with a cashier who only sits at a desk. You can switch to a safe job and calling if you can.

4) If you've been smoking in the last 12 months you WILL get higher premiums. If you can leave smoking for 13 months and then reapply, you will make considerable savings.

You will save much money on life insurance if you get and compare quotes from sites. Using not less than three quotes sites raise the chances that you'd get more quotes. Moreover, you should understand that because the likelihood of receiving lower quotes is tied to the range of quotes you receive, the more companies you receive quotes from, the higher your chances.

The Art of No - Within a Gaming Community

That is right, I'm talking about getting into that situation where you didn't say no (when you should of, but you was just being friendly or trying to keep the Peace) to a member and now they are running circles around you. Early in being a mod/admin/owner you learn that life lesson of not being to nice. There will always be them members who ask for an inch and take a mile, then you will have to give the mile to every other player/member in fear of it seeming like favoritism. Its a mistake I've done many times over the years.

The hard part is to be firm but not alienate yourself from the rest of the players. The best way to do it is to be firm BUT fair right from the get go, don't let yourself become a soft apple. Don't take this in the sense that you need to become this stone cold mother... you get what I mean. Just realize that you need to put on your admin/owner/moderator hat on and deal with people that way. Not in the way you would deal with a friend.

All members/Mod and Admins all know when it comes down to the community issues, I am talking as a owner. No your Internet friend or even your personal friend.

Lets say one of the members from our Minecraft server asks me if they can set a warp. (being able to set a teleport for you non Minecrafter's) Well on our Minecraft server we don't allow normal non donating members to have that ability. I would tell them no, the reason why I said no and any other information which would be helpful to that member at the time.

It would go down something like this.

Member: Can I have a warp set please?

Me: No sorry we don't allow [member] ranked players to be able to set a warp. This is because we don't wish to have 100's of warps on the server and want people to actually move around and see the whole map. However [VIP] rank has the ability to set 1 public warp, to get [VIP] you can either donate money or donate some of your time to basic jobs that we need help with.

Never just say "No" always back it up with reason. It will make the player understand that you are not just being mean. That's the reason you are saying "No" is because of this reason and you are not treating them any different to any other member/player.

Learn from an old hand, don't say yes when inside you mean no.

Lindapter Floorfast Fixings - The One Man Floor Fixing

The Lindapter construction systems have now been in operation for many years and supply quick and strong solutions to the building of steel structures. The typical Lindapter systems make the joints by a series of clamps instead of the original drill and bolt systems.

The Floorfast system is a similar type of construction that has been designed to enable steel floor plates to be fixed onto the steel beam structure by one man from above. Metal floors can be notoriously difficult to fix as the typical fixing system requires a good many holes to be drilled through the beam and this not only takes time it is difficult to do on site and if it is carried out in the factory then it is difficult to line the beams up in the correct position and in all probability the floor plates will have to be drilled on site. There can also be a question of the integrity of the beam with so many holes drilled in it. There is also the problem of fitting bolts onto the underside of the steel beam and this can be extremely difficult to get to in some cases.

The Lindapter M8 Type FF fixing is made of malleable iron and bright zinc plated for protection against the elements and to give a long lasting support. The fixing is a round disc made in the shape of a circular staircase with a countersunk screw that has a hexagon shaped socket which can be tightened by a hexagon T bar. The method of fixing is to place all the floor beams into position and secure them safely. The floor plates can be pre drilled or done on site and the countersunk screws are placed through the floor plate and the Floorfast fixing is screwed loosely onto the nuts, the plates are offered into position and the T bar is used to tighten the screw. As the screw is turned the Floorfast fixing turns the staircase or stepped web disc and the casting automatically locks under the flange of the beam. The fixing will deal with flanges that range in size from 3mm to 15 mm and can accommodate larger flanges by using suitable packing's.

The advantage of this system is that once the beams are in position the floor can be laid quickly and accurately by one man from above. The joints are very strong and the integrity of the joint is excellent. All the parts are long lasting and quite capable of standing any sensible load applied to them.

Ballroom Dancing - A Brief History

When you think of Ballroom dancing, you generally think of flowing gowns and dark tuxedos. You also think of beautiful, willowy, women and tall, dark, handsome men waltzing their way around the dance floor. However, ballroom dance is not just the Waltz, it is a lot more. From the elegant and stately waltz, a hot, sultry and sexy Tango or Paso Doble, or a good bit of lively fun like the Fox Trot, Jive or Quick Step, ballroom dancing is all of these.

Technically, ballroom dancing is defined as "Any of various, usually social dances in which couples perform set moves". However, the word "ball" (not the child's toy) comes from the Latin "ballare" meaning to dance and forms the base for the word ballroom (a room for dancing), ballet (a dance), and ballerina (a dancer).

Ballroom dancing was very popular among the gentry (or upper class) of England, in the late 18th and early 19th centuries and didn't really catch on with the working class until the late 19th and early 20th century.

It wasn't until the early 1920's that competitive ballroom dancing began gaining popularity. As a result, the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (formerly known as The Imperial Society of Dance Teachers) formed a Ballroom Branch whose function was to standardize the ballroom dances.

Today, modern ballroom dancing revolves around five dances comprising: the Modern Waltz; the Viennese Waltz; the Slow Foxtrot; Tango; and the Quickstep.

Latin American ballroom is short for Latin and American - not a reference to Latin countries and its dances are the Samba; Rumba; Paso Doble; Cha-Cha; and the Jive.

The modern ballroom dances all involve a couple dancing in a closed hold and vary in tempo (beats per minute) and rhythm (structure). A closed hold involves 5 bodily points of contact between the couple. Three of these points involve the hands, the males left hand holding the females right, the females left hand on top of the males right upper arm (for the Tango the females hand would go behind his arm) and the males right hand on the females back resting on her left shoulder blade. The other two points of contact are the females left elbow resting on the males right elbow and the right side of the females chest touching the right side of the males chest. This dance posture provides a very elegant look as the couple floats across the dance floor and has its origins in the European royal courts.

There is some conjecture that the right side-to-right side contact of the closed hold may have originated from a time when men danced while wearing their swords, which were hung on their left sides. Additionally, this theory would also explain the counter clockwise movement around the dance floor as the man would've stood on the inside of the circle so he wouldn't inadvertently hit any of the people watching the dancers with his sword as he danced past.

The dancing posture for Latin American ballroom varies from dance to dance with some dances using the closed hold and others where the partners hold each other with only one hand.

Both Modern Ballroom and Latin American Ballroom has been standardized for teaching purposes and has a set, internationally recognized vocabulary, technique, rhythm and tempo.

Be Prepared - Survival Gear

I believe in being prepared. No one likes not knowing what to do in a situation. Not knowing what to do can produce an uncomfortable, stressful, anxious and debilitating feeling that could result in panic. When you are prepared and armed with knowledge, resources and equipment that you'll need to handle a situation, the panic is minimalized and you are able to make quick and accurate decisions. You can function in a way that helps to solve problems and maybe even saves a life.

A natural disaster can create a situation where preparedness is essential. The most critical decisions have to made quickly and the first inclination is flight. We all want to get away from the disaster as fast and as far as possible. Let the professionals deal with the situation so we can return when it's safe to do so. In the meantime though, how to survive and for how long? Be prepared ahead of time by collecting some of the items necessary for survival. Create your own survival kit and store it in the most easily accessible place. Store your survival kit in your basement, the trunk of your car, in a closet in your RV or as close as possible to your escape route so you can grab it and go. You should plan to acquire enough supplies for 2 people (multiplied by the number of people in your family) to last 3 days. Some of the things you'll need include food and water, light and communication, shelter and warmth, tools, hygiene kits and sanitation supplies, first aid, entertainment items, and an infectious waste bag just to name a few.

A family survival kit should provide you with the resources and information that will maintain you and your family until it is safe to return home or seek other assistance. 93% of Americans are unprepared for an emergency requiring multi-day survival. Don't be caught in this statistic. Be prepared.

Tap Water Facts - Is Your Water Safe?

When was the last time you thought about the safety of the water that comes out of your home faucets? Let's face it. Tap water facts aren't the sexiest things you can thing about. However, think about them you must, since these facts have a direct impact on the health and safety of you and your family. Once you know the truth about your tap water, you can take positive action, and then go back to thinking about more pleasant topics.

One of the most important tap water facts you should know is that our city water treatment systems continue to use the same process that was developed more than 100 years ago.

How many cell phones have you replaced in the last three years just trying to keep up with the changing technology? Unfortunately, when it comes to municipal water treatment, we haven't seen any new technological advances. Your city and mine continue to use chlorination as the basis for water purification. Which leads to one of the next tap water facts.

Chlorine is a disinfectant. It was miraculously effective 100 years ago when people were dying by the thousands of water-borne diseases like typhoid and cholera. Today, thanks to chlorination, our water no longer contains these dangerous health threats. However, they've been replaced by a new type of threat that chlorine is not equipped to deal with.

Every chemical that is used in society, sooner or later, ends up on our water supply. This includes industrial and agricultural runoff, as well as, household chemicals like cleaning solutions and lawn treatment products.

This type of synthetic chemical contamination cannot be addressed by the disinfecting process of chlorination. These toxins must be removed by filtration.

The seriousness of these tap water facts are underscored by a recent statement by William K. Reilly, a former EPA administrator, who said, "Drinking water in the U.S. is among the top four public health risks posed by environmental problems."

Even if your particular water treatment system is relatively free of this pollution, you still are faced with tap water facts that relate to the potential dangers posed by chlorine exposure.

Chorine is harsh on the skin. It strips your body of its natural oils and cancels out vitamin E and other critical fatty acids. While your skin is being damaged during a shower, you're also at risk for inhaling chloroform gas that's present in the steam vapor. Chloroform gas has been shown to trigger an asthma attack or strongly irritate respiratory tissues.

It doesn't stop there. Additional tap water facts include the danger posed by chlorine coming into contact with aging plumbing pipes. As the water passes through the pipes, the chlorine leeches heavy metals, like lead and copper, before flowing on and into your faucets. Heavy metals are poisonous and are particularly dangerous to small children.

At the present time, municipalities do not seem to be in any hurry to update their water treatment systems. But this doesn't mean that you're helpless to do anything about these troubling tap water facts. You can take your family's safety into your own hands by installing a home water filtration system. These systems are easy to find and can be affordable, as well as, simple to install and maintain.

For my money and convenience, I have found that purifiers that use a multi-stage filtration process are the most effective at removing a wide range of chemical toxins and bacteria, while leaving healthful mineral content intact. This means that not only is my water safe and good tasting...it's healthy too!

Make no mistake. The reality of living in modern society means acknowledging how vulnerable our water supply really is. But the good new is that these tap water facts have a solution. You can make sure that your tap water is safe by taking advantage of the latest in-home purification technology.

Promises I Made to My Mother by Sam Haskell - A Book Review

A heartfelt memoir by Sam Haskell, Promises I Made to My Mother is a riveting memoir about dreams and making them come true, values, and a mother-and-son love. It's full of values and lessons that it's almost a parable. It's full of ordinary elements about a boy's story and journey through childhood, but you realize throughout the journey that everything, every element is a symbol for something much more important.

The chapters of the book are divided into different promises Sam Haskell has made to his mother and his passion to follow those values despite the blinding phoniness of Hollywood life that beheld him. What I love about the book are Sam Haskell's honesty, integrity, sincerity about the promises, and his strong beliefs in those that made him successful and a man of integrity.

The memoir also includes anecdotes and beautiful stories about his mother and what she has taught him. It's a beautiful book that tells us that despite the dirty, often misguided world people are leading in Hollywood, man can still make a difference by instilling in him what his mother taught him and using these values as a means to be successful and get people's respect.

There is probably nothing greater than realizing that people respect you exactly for who you are as a person, not because of your status, career, or achievements. It's refreshing to see one man rise above everything bearing only the promises he made his mother.

I cannot praise this book enough because there are a lot of levels about the book that just gets you in ways you don't expect. But I can suggest everyone to read Promises I Made to My Mother by Sam Haskell so you can feel the same way about making your dreams come true as he has made me feel.

Book Review - The Post-American World by Fareed Zakaria

In our turbulent world, it is tempting to view America as surrounded by enemies intent on our destruction. Everywhere we look, we can see signs of American influence waning. Often-and especially in a time of economic turmoil-our mounting troubles can seem insurmountable. But sometimes merely looking at the world through a different lens can help us gain some perspective. And if that lens is held by one of today's most perceptive observers of the world scene, it might even help us all take a deep breath and relax.

In Post-American World, best-selling author Fareed Zakaria takes a look at America's place in the world and explains why we have reason to be optimistic. Zakaria, who was born in India, came to this country as an awkward and naive eighteen-year old in the depths of the recession of the early 1980s. What he found then-and what he still sees all around us today-is a vibrant and expansive country, open to fresh ideas and eager to show the world what it has to offer. What has changed in today's world, he explains, in not America: rather, it is the merely rest of the world, racing to catch up with us. And while this new era-where American ideas and aspirations have inspired the world to follow us into the future-may pose unique challenges, they need not be as frightening as the pessimists and nay-sayers make them out to be. In his view, the key to understanding our changing world is to realize that America is not really lagging behind; rather, it is the rest of the world that is rising. And if we are tempted to respond by retreating-withdrawing into Fortress America, secure in our belief in our own superiority-then we are playing a game that has failed other civilizations in the past, and would likely surrender our leadership for the future.

Among the cautionary tales the author cites from history is the example of China, another great country that once stood at the pinnacle of greatness. Nearly a century before Columbus, in the early 1400s, a series of expeditions set forth from China, with several hundred vessels, each larger than an Spanish galleon, carrying thousands of men. They sailed eastern shores, down coast of Southeast Asia and into the Indian Ocean, impressing they met with majesty and might of Chinese civilization, and returning with treasures including precious stones, exotic plants and animals. Yet by the middle of the century, all this stopped: a new emperor had come to power-one who viewed these excursions as needless and expensive extravagances of little use to China. Before the end of the next century, building similar ships was forbidden on pain of death, and vast tracts of forests were burned to make similar ventures impossible in the future. And so China, convinced of its own superiority, turned firmly away from outside contact to withdraw within itself...and before long, the rest of the world had passed the stagnating Chinese culture in all manner of accomplishments. It has taken them six centuries of struggling to approach the pinnacle again; and now, having learned the lesson of history, they seem determined not to repeat the mistake.

Today, though we are beset by dangers on many sides, Zakaria reminds us that we often fail to appreciate just how lucky we are to live in an age of plenty and an era of discovery and adventure. Now that America has led the way, the rest of the world is racing to catch up to us. But, he cautions, we should not treat their efforts with suspicion or disdain, but we should embrace the future envisioned by our own ideals-for it is those very ideals that have long inspired the world.

Foremost among our many resources are the American culture and people. Both are filled with resilience and optimism. The American spirit of innovation derives from the openness of our culture, and our embrace of the off-beat and heretical-as well as the welcome we have shown to the best and the brightest from around the world. And despite the imperfections of our much-derided educational system, the author demonstrates that most of our problems stem from disparities within our own country: there is, the author notes, a greater disparity between students from our typical, middle-class schools and those from poverty-stricken, inner-city schools than there is between our best, and the best from the rest of the world. And while we bemoan our own lagging test scores, others are actually coming to the US to learn our techniques. And what impresses them most are the things we take for granted: the willingness of our students to challenge teachers; their courage to speak out in class; and their ability to be creative in applying what's taught to their everyday lives. While the rest of the world may beat us at teaching their students to take standardized tests, our system seems to excel at producing people who can be innovative, willing to challenge convention. Our culture seems drawn to the heretical and oddball; and since our schools don't quite squash this out of our students as well as some countries do, these same oddballs help keep our culture fresh.

Comparing us to the British Empire in its heyday, Zakaria notes that Britain, though blessed with gifted statesmen, was saddled with a dysfunctional economic and cultural system that stifled creative impulses of British society. In many ways America's challenge is just the reverse: we have a vibrant, dynamic culture that remains the envy of the world-but one that is saddled with a political system that often seems more intent on gaining temporary partisan advantage than moving the country forward. And where our culture benefits from the influx of immigrants-bringing energy, ambition, and new ideas along with them-we often mistake the challenges they bring as well for danger, rather than viewing them for what they are and have always been: a priceless source of renewal.

Insightful and well-written, filled with a global perspective often lacking in today's commentators, The Post-American World offers hope as well as perspective. It is written not in the lofty tones of academics, but with a precision born of thought and deep understanding. Those interested in understanding America's place in the world-past, present, and future-would do well to read it carefully. The world, after all, needs an America-embodying the free spirit and sense of adventure we have always taken for granted. That is, the author concludes, this country's real role in the world-and the reason that most people across the Earth still look to the United States with good will. It would be a pity if, through misguided attempts to hold back the future, we squandered the America we have...and forced the world to go looking for a new one.

Company Formations - How Does it Work?

Company formations are basically the processes involved in incorporating your company so that it is treated as a separate entity from you, the owner. This rule applies in many countries around the world. The formations can be made by you, attorneys, specialised companies or accountants. Many attorneys will contract this kind of work out to company formation agents, so it is worthwhile approaching these companies directly.

Paperwork must be filled in to give as much detail as possible about your corporation and it is a legal requirement. You will be asked to outline the main purpose of your business, the trading headquarters address and provide the name of your company. It is worthwhile doing your homework before you fill in the registration forms to ensure that you chosen name is not already taken.

Depending on the country you may also be required to submit details about the rules that have been set by the owner in relation to the internal running of the business. Directors, board members and secretaries must also be picked beforehand and the appropriate form filled out with these details also.

Once all the relevant paperwork has been completed fully, it must be returned with the registration fee to the correct office. It is possible nowadays to complete the forms electronically by accessing the relevant office's computer. Many company formations agents have direct access to this electronic method, which may explain why they are able to process company registrations much quicker.

Before or as soon as your company is registered, you need to calculate your business start up costs, as you may wish to approach a bank to see about a business loan. Start up costs can mount up before you even start trading. These costs are items such as legal fees, logo designs, company formation agent fees and website design.

If you need to see about a loan, you need to sit down and work out a rough figure for your business start up costs. You should also take into account any running costs such as rental fees, staff wages and utility bills, as well as the costs already incurred before you start trading. Once this is all in order you can go to the bank manager with a detailed business plan.

You will be given a decision based on your plan and whether you have any previous knowledge of the trade (which is useful); another point that will be considered is whether you are able to make the loan repayments each month.

Company formations are a popular choice with many people starting up their own business. This is because the company may benefit from lower tax rates and can be protected by limited liability. Company formations may also mean that your business is taken more seriously and you may receive more clients than you would as just a partnership.

Understanding Personal Loans, Cash Advances and Payday Loans

Have you ever been short on cash? Has an unforeseen event emptied out your wallet? Are you short on funds in-between paychecks? Make at least $1000 per month

You Don't NEED a Slow Cooker Recipe!

Many people search the internet for slow cooker recipes. I know I have myself at times. The thing is, you really don't have to, at least not with most things you are going to want to cook. Once you have made a couple things with your slow cooker and understand how it works, you can start making up your own recipes-that's part of the beauty of the slow cooker!

What you need to remember, and truly understand, is that you really cannot destroy a stew or a roasted chicken, or many of the other things you can make in your slow cooker. This is a hard one for most of us to believe. We have been conditioned that we need to follow slow cooker recipes, or else we will end up with an inedible mess. This is just untrue!

I recommend you try it sometime and sometime soon. Go to the store and buy the basic things you want in a stew, maybe try ONE new thing. You don't want to experiment with more than one thing at a time. Cut your veggies, throw them in the cooker and let it do its thing. That is the beauty of the slow cooker is that it does all the work for you!

If there is something that you really want to make, but cannot find any recipes for it, please take my advice. Just try it out. Pretend you don't need a recipe. Trust me, I experiment all the time and it is rare that what I make is truly gross and its only when I'm crazy experimenting.

If you just want to do something a little different-then just do it. Nothing is stopping you but your own brain. It is telling you that you absolutely need instructions on how to do something that for years was improvised. Our grandparents certainly didn't use a recipe, and if they didn't, it wasn't nearly as exact as ours.

Cheap Airfares

Cheap Airfares have always been a traveler dream. No- frills airlines have mushroomed to bridge the supply and demand gap. Jet Blue Airways, US carriers and South West Airlines are a few airlines competing for travelers who look for cost effectiveness. Full service air lines now offer a range of flights for the economy travelers, to oppose the competition offered by the no frills airways. Getting the most cost effective deal requires some time and effort. Online websites and agencies like [http://www.lowcostarlines.org] provide extensive information about full service discount travel. Some websites offer a cost calculator specific to the airlines, destination and travel time.

Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, E-bookers and Opodo are some websites and online travel agencies that provide information as well as booking services for travelers. Although research through the Internet is apparently a cheaper option, it is always better to book through a travel agent when you’ve decided on a flight. Agents know the industry thoroughly and can help you get a better deal. In addition many carriers use their websites only to list fares and will not list with booking agencies or other travel websites.

You have to read the fine lines when you do book with a no frills airline. The prices are pretty specific to a certain flight, a certain day and a certain time. They do not include late bookings or changes in the itinerary. Also, keep in mind that “no frills” is exactly that – there are no free meals or drinks served on these flights, and there are often one or two stops before you reach your destination.

Change Begins from Within Through Paradigm Shifts to Your Belief System

Many individuals and that includes organizations which are just groups of individuals united to achieve specific goals continually seek new answers to this centuries old question: How do I change?

With today's generation having more change in one year than their grandparent's experienced in their entire lifetime, learning how to deal with change is critical to personal and organizational success. This is called change management. Yet, change is still a challenge even for those who think that they have open minds.

For example, can you explain the logic of these numbers?

8 5 4 9 7 6 3 2 0

What is going through your mind? Are you adding, subtracting, multiplying to determine the logical sequence? As a business coach and change management consultant, this is one of most favorite activities that I use with my clients from young people to executive board members.

What this activity quickly demonstrates is that the paradigms we use to solve problems with an an individual or as an organization force us in some cases to expend a lot of energy as well as emotions without a satisfactory answer. However, when we change how we see things, the things we look at will change.

This change happens because we have changed within ourselves. Outside forces from motivational speakers to the newest video such as The Secret only provide opportunities to see things differently.

Since we are the way we are because of years of experiences that have further solidify our foundational belief systems, we should not expect change to happen overnight. Change takes time just like reading a positive affirmation statement or what I call a belief statement. When those written statements are read out loud, heard and felt at least three times each day, we can begin to switch our negative beliefs or attitudes for positive ones. Remember, first, we must be the change that we are seeking.

P.S. If you cannot answer the above question, just send me an email or give me a call.

Safeguarding Your Ride - Protection With Motorcycle Insurance

Due to the seemingly countless number of road mishaps that are associated with motorcycles, there has been an increasing need for obtaining motorcycle insurance coverage. Motorcycle insurance brings a myriad of benefits to the driver and for his passenger. Perhaps the priceless intangible reward is the ability to zoom off the streets in peace knowing that the insurance company will cover the repair of the damages incurred by the motorcycle in the event of an accident, and in some cases, theft.

There are a great number of auto insurance companies and insurance agents that offer insurance services for motorcycle. For the motorcycle newbie, going online can definitely help in generating a list of reputable companies that offer motorcycle insurance policies. Going online also allows drivers to compare the various premiums with ease, enabling them to land the most affordable quote. As with car insurance, motorcycle insurance quotes also rely a great deal on a number of factors including the age if the motorcycle owner, status of his driving record, type of motorcycle and the potential for acquiring road accidents.

Drivers who live in more secured, less theft-prone areas are favored by motorbike insurance providers and are more likely to obtain lower quotes. The same goes with drivers who have alternate means of transportation and utilize their motorcycle minimally. In order to obtain lower motorcycle insurance rates, it would be beneficial to secure ones motorcycle with necessary protective equipment and make sure that the motorcycle parts are fully functional and in mint condition.
